This page is a list of things that our customers have suggested we get over the course of the last few months.
It's to be used as a place for them to keep tabs on what they are interested in seeing and for others to come and see how the process works as well as what oddities/gems/off the map goodies wemay have missed but are trying to track down.
If you have a suggestion, please see a staff member and they'll take it down (them you check here to see if it's coming) or better yet, email me about it. (In that case I will write back and that suggestion won't need to be put on this page.)

Seamless and Pret A Porter Both are about the fashion industry. Seamless gets a fairly low rating at the imdb (4.2/10) and a used copy of the DVD costs around $50.00 so I'm skipping this.
Pret A Porter, as far as I know, is the alternate name for the Robert Altman film "Ready To Wear". We have it already on DVD
"Universal Soldier 2 & 3" Despite both of these getting low scores, I have been bothered enough by staff and customers to try #2 simply because i can get it cheap. On Order.
I will wait and see how that does before ordering number 3.
Jar City This Icelandic crime drama looks good but it is not yet Available in North America so I can't get it.
Will get it when it is released on DVD here.
Liebe Mauer This German romantic comedy about the last days of the DDR is not yet Available in North America so I can't get it.
Secret World Of Alex Mack I find that family TV series do not rent very well. Every time I try a title it goes nowhere so I'm not getting this for now.
ReturnTo Hanala This Spanish drama about a woman trying to get her brother's body back to their small town is On Order .
"Ghost In The Shell-SAC-The 2nd Gig" Anime geeks rejoice! (I'm talking to you, Ashleigh!) I have found this DVD FINALLY!

Human Terrain This documentary about The US military employing the "Human Terrain System" to deployment. A concept that places cultural awareness at the forefront of foreign military engagement is Not yet Available on DVD. Will get it when it's released.
J'ai Tue Ma Mere" (AKA "I Killed My Mother") This Quebecois drama is not available yet (as far as I can find) on DVD. The director is getting a lot of attention in the press right now so perhaps the film will get a wider theatrical release followed by a DVD in the
next few months. I'll keep repeating this til it comes out....
Corked This Mocumentary about 4 California wineries awaiting the arrival of a renowned wine critic and how all of them are vying to be sure he tastes their product is On Order.
Curdled This comedy about a woman who is obsessed with a string of killings in her area and so lands a job cleaning up murder scenes is In Stock.
The Maxx This is an animated TV series from the 1990s. It's animated. It's from before 1999. In this case it's 2 strikes you're out.

The Thin Red Line-Criterion Edition This Terrence Malick directed war film is In Stock.
Genius Within: The Inner Life Of Glenn Gould This documentary about the preeminent pianist is not available yet. Will get it when it is.
Lost Boys: The Thirst This 3rd part of the popular vampire series is supposedly our on oct 12th. I can't actually find stock on it anywhere though so I'm thinking it might get delayed. I will look for it again though and get it in when I find it.
1940s House This documentary TV series about a family that agree to spend several weeks living under the same conditions Britain would have seen during the second World War is the preeminent pianist is On Order.
The Invaders and Spencer For Hire
These 2 TV series fall under my general rule that I don't carry any (many, really...) tv shows that were produced before 1999.
There is a number of reasons but the main one is that --in general--they don't rent and space is so limited here that you've got to pay for your place on the shelf in the store.Not getting. For now....

Taggart Sets 1 & 2 which are comprised of episodes fromt eh moder Taggart series. In Stock.
CSI:NY & Miami Spin off's of the original series. Too much CSI is .... too much. Sometimes you've ot to pick a horse and go with it. We Pick Las Vegas. Not getting.
Kings Of Pastry Documentary about the Meilleur Ouvrier de France--the highest levelof world pastry competition is not available yet. Will get it when it is.
Ashes To Ashes Follow-up series to Btitain's "Life On Mars" Not yet Available in North America so I can't get it..
House Of Numbers Documentray about the AIDS epidemic and the lack of response (or downright stalling on the matter by portions of the medicalindustry) gets kind of mediocre reviews for a fairly broad number of sources. There's only so much shelf space here so I will wait for a more accalimed look at the same subject. Not getting.
Talk 19 Documentray that is a follow up to the somewhat successful "Talk 16". This film is only 48 minutes long plus i can't even find a general distribution for a DVD copy. Not Getting.
Da Vinci Code This thriller starring Tom Hanks has been requested on Blu Ray. Why Not? In Stock.

8: The Mormon Proposition Documentary about the Mormon Churches attempt to block Propostion 8 and how it hints at a long-standing tendancy for the church to battle against equality for lesbian and gay rights issues and groups. In Stock.
Dangerous Living: Coming Out In The Developing World This documentary about homosexuals coming out in less developed more "repressive" countries gets a decent rating and looks very interesting. On Order.
And Then Came Lola This drama that seems to borrow a dose of style from "Run Lola Run" and mixes it with some lesbian relationship issues only gets about 3.8/10 on the imdb. Not enough to warrant ordering. Sorry.
Hanna Free This drama starring Sharon Gless gets only a 6.2/10 on the imdb (from only 4 voters!) It's gonna have to do a bit better before I can order it in. Not getting. For now...

"Rancho Notorious" This drama from 1952 by Fritz Lang is on order.
"Gost In The Shell-SAC-The 2nd Gig" People keep asking for this animae series and since the 1st seasn has finally
made its money back Ièm searching for this. I CANNOT find a stand alone set of the second season. Buying every volume
separately makes it too expensive. Not getting it yet. Sorry.
"Pieras Verdes" This Mexican adventure--also know as Green Stones--is In Stock.
"Blood Into Wine" This documentary about TOOL singer Maynard Keenan and his adventures in wine making has been getting
a ton of requests so it is In Stock.
"Whaledreamers" This documentary narrated by Pierce Brosnan is Not yet Available in North America for purchase you can watch it at amazon.com though. If you live in the US. Cannot get it.
"Worst Week Of My Life" This UK comedy series is In Stock.
"9th Company" This Russian film about the Afganistan Invasion is In Stock.
"The Tonto Woman" This was directed by the guy who recently brought us the Micahel Caine film Harry Brown. It is only a short film however and is only available on a short film collection and those tend to not pay for their space in the store sorry but, not getting.
"Secret Diary Of A Call Girl" The first season of this TV series did OK. Good enough for us to get season 2 since one of you
is asking. In Stock.
"Petropolis" This documentary about the Alberta Tar Sands is In Stock.
One customer asked for 3 different things:
Brother John - starring Sidney Poitier is In Stock.
Twenty Bucks - drama starring Linda Hunt is In Stock.
Funeral In Berlin - starring Michael Caine is Out Of Print and is $150.00 to buy (Yikes!) so not getting it. For now.
